 Journey of Jamrok Buffet

Jamrok  Caribbean Buffet was born out of the heart and passion of its owner, Andral Dawkins, a proud son of Jamaica. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant flavors, spices, and traditions of his homeland, Andral discovered his love for cooking at an early age. For him, food was never just about a meal—it was about family, love, and connection. When Andral migrated and joined the US ARMY he found a lifelong family to share a piece of Jamaica. He created Jamrok Caribbean Buffet, a place where the warmth of home and the richness of authentic Caribbean flavors come together. His dream was simple: to build a space where people could not only enjoy delicious food but also feel a sense of belonging. Being assigned to the 160th Special Operations Regiment as a Chinook Crew Chef here at fort Campbell, he found the ideal family with which to break bread.

At the heart of Jamrok Caribbean Buffet is Andral’s passion for family and community. Every dish he prepares is inspired by the meals that brought his own family together around the table. He believes that food should tell a story—one of love, tradition, and joy—and that’s exactly what customers experience with every bite. But for Andral, good food is just the beginning. He is deeply committed to customer service, ensuring that everyone who walks through the doors of Jamrok feels valued and cared for. His goal is clear: to please every customer, every time. Whether it’s through the rich, savory aroma of jerk chicken fresh off the grill, or the warm greeting that welcomes each guest, Andral makes sure that Jamrok is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience.
